The 2021–22 UEFA Champions League is the 67th season of Europe’s premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 30th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs’ Cup to the UEFA Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi lead the way, but the race for third is hotting up.
- Cristiano Ronaldo (136 goals)

The current top goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League is the Portugese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored a total of 136 goals in total while representing four clubs – Sporting Lisbon (POR), Manchester United (ENG), Real Madrid (ESP) and Juventus (ITA). He has scored 136 goals in 178 appearances. He also won 5 titles and has participated in almost 19 seasons.
2. Lionel Messi (121 goals)

Lionel Messi comes at the second spot with 121 goals under his belt. The Argentine international has finished as UCL’s golden boot winner on six occasions. He has won four Champions League titles, all with the Spanish team Barcelona.
3. Raul Gonzalez (66 goals)

Before the arrival of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul Gonzalez was the highest goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League. Raul scored 66 goals in his 130 UEFA Champions League games for Los Blancos. The Spanish legend went on to win three UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid, scoring in the finals against Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
4. Karim Benzema (60 goals) and Robert Lewandowski (60 goals)
The french international, Karim Benzema, who plays as the centre-forward for Spanish club Real Madrid and the polish international, Robert Lewandowski, who plays for the German club Bayern Munich are jointly holding the fourth spot with 60 goals. But, since Raul Gonzalez has retired and Benzema and Lewandowski have been in their prime goalscoring form, the race for the third position is heating up.
